Mahlon Joseph Elliott, 73, left this life on January 3, 2004 with his beloved wife of 52 years, Lois, holding his hand. Mahlon is also survived by his four daughters, Johnell Washburn and husband, Bryant, Jennifer Hodgson and partner, Mark Oyenik, Marilee Kaminsky and husband, Dr. Edward Kaminsky, and Melanie Eckles and husband, Eric; two sisters, Artine Helinski and Barbara Gordon and husband, Robert; and grandchildren, Aaron and wife, Carol, Allison, Taylor, Wesley, Andrew, Ian, Megan and Hayden; and many nieces nephews and friends. After retiring from a long career as vice president of retail lumber sales at J.C. Baldridge Lumber Company, Mahlon worked part-time as a consultant for TNJ Construction Company. Mahlon loved his family, his work, sharing his knowledge and many skills with everyone who expressed an interest, his cabin that he and his family built on Grass Mountain and exploring every mountain and valley of the southwest that he loved so much. Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held on January 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE. Please join his family and friends in celebrating the life of a truly kind and loving man.
