Cruz Huerta Lugo was born June 2, 1919 in Chiso, Texas. He married and raised his family in Artesia, New Mexico, and came to Albuquerque in 1971. He left to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2004. His eldest daughter, Esther Lugo, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Lugo; four daughters and two sons: Delfina L. Rodriguez and husband, Dolores, Narciso Lugo and wife, Alice, Sally L. Baca and husband, Antonio, Elisa L. Garcia and husband, Douglas, Danny Lugo and wife, Lillian, and Sara Cline and husband, David, 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 14, 2004, 7:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix NE. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 15, 2004, 2:00 p.m., also at Queen of Heaven, with interment following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Rodriguez, Charlie Rodriguez, Andy Lugo, Mark Lugo, Edward Lugo, Tony Baca, Wayne Church Jr., Manuel Lara and Crystal Lugo. Hillcrest Funeral Home 225 San Mateo NE 265-5959
