Clara W. Hogsett, 92, a longtime resident of the Quemado area, died Sunday, December 28, 2003. Clara is survived by her daughters, Ida Belle Davis and husband, Tom, Naomi Haynes and husband, Gene all of Albuquerque and Barbara Adams and husband, Burl of Quemado; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Woods of Bentonville, AR; sisters, Agatha Davis of Chester, AR, and Lillian Denton and husband, Dale of Wichita, KS; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hogsett in 1973 and her granddaughter, Twuana Haynes. Clara and her husband, Joe were longtime ranchers. She was a master quilter and loved cooking and gardening. She was a member of Quemado Presbyterian Church and the Quemado Senior Citizens organization. Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at Quemado Baptist Church, with Rev. Thomas H. Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family wishes to express special thanks to Presbyterian Hospice for their loving care and support.
