Obituary for JOJOLA

Estaquio O. Jojola, 72 and a lifelong resident of Sierra County, died on December 18, 2003 at the N.M. State Veterans Home in TorC, NM. Mr. Jojola was born in Las Palomas, New Mexico on April 30, 1931 to Romaldo and Anita (Orosco) Jojola. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict and was a retired Electrician. He was a Life Member of VFW Post #3317; a Life Member of the American Legion Post #44; and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Mr. Jojola is survived by his two brothers, Estevan and wife, Bessie Jojola of Fontana, Calif, Juan O. and wife, Elijia Jojola of TorC, NM; a sister, Cecilia and husband, Eutimio of Albuquerque, NM; a brother-in-law, David A. Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Selsa Garcia. A Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, December 26, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (TorC) and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Sean Garrity, CSB officiating. Serving as Casket Bearers are Leonard Garcia, Phillip Garcia, Christina Garcia, Helen Rodriquez, Victor Armijo and Victoria Armijo. Rite of Committal will follow in the Vista Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by French Mortuary & Cremation Services, Inc. 505 / 894 - 2574.
