Mrs. Josefita (Josie) Chavez, 91, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 17, 2003. Mrs. Chavez is survived by three daughters, Mary Casaus and husband, Virginio, Helen Ellison and husband, Kenneth of Surpirse, AZ, Melba Silva and husband, Joe; two sons, Gregory Chavez and wife, Judy and Raymond Chavez and wife, Ruth; two sisters, Margarita Luna and Clorinda Chavez; twenty-three grandchildren; many great- grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, Sacred Heart League and Blessed Sacrament. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Casaus, Ted Moseley, Gilbert Casaus, William Casaus, Andrew Casaus and Matthew Casaus. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Moseley, Christopher Gallegos, Eric Garcia, Shane Garcia and Frank Gallegos. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd SW 243-7861
