Obituary for BAILEY

David Bailey died from congestive heart failure December 13, 2003. A small service will be held in Valecitto, CO at 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2003 at Wits Inn Lodge, Hood Mortuary, Durango, CO is in charge of his cremation. Mr. Bailey, former Sr. Vice President in charge of Western Operations for BDM Corp retired in 1985. Mr. Bailey, a scientist, engineer and business leader served five governors working on various boards ranging from Science and Technology to the Albuquerque Symphony. David received numerous awards including Outstanding Centennial Alumnus from NMSU. Before rheumatoid arthritis set in, he enjoyed golf and was an avid sportsman. Mr. Bailey is survived by his former wife and friend, DeLois Bailey; his three sons, Kirk, Bret and Mark Bailey; three daughters-in-law, Carol, Melissa, and Sherry Bailey; six grandchildren, Kris, Jessica, Shawn, Donavan, Cooper, Hunter Bailey; and a great-granddaughter, Monique Bailey; a half brother, Billy Beckworth; and a half sister, Beverly Murray and her husband, Mike; two nieces, Christine Stewart, Laura Beckworth; and two nephews, John Beckworth and Raymond Murray.
