Obituary for SNODGRASS

Virginia B. Martinez Snodgrass, went to her final reward in Heaven at 2:05 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2003. She was born to Juan T. and Virginia Baladonado in Alamogordo, New Mexico on November 13, 1910. Her parents, Juan T. and Virginia Baladonado; her husbands, Ross Martinez and Vernon Snodgrass; five brothers, Luis Baladonado, Juan Baladonado Jr, Rev. Felipe Baladonado OFM, Jose Baladonado; and one sister, Mary Sarbo preceded her in death. Four sisters, Anita Land, Elisa Dawson, Elena Duran and Ernest, all of Albuquerque, NM, and Terre Torres of Tularosa, NM, survive her. Six children, Cecilia T. Noehl-Jay of Albuquerque, NM. Louise Foley and Charles of Tucson, AZ. Anita Fryer and Russ, of Nashville, Tenn. Virginia Ball and Ray of Phoenix, Az. J. Joe Martinez and Arlene B of Las Cruces, NM. Julie R. Martinez and Ken of Phoenix, AZ. 22 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, also survive her. She lived in the Phoenix area twice from 1951 to 1959 and again from 1984 to present. She was a Roman Catholic and practiced her faith in the traditional way as well as how she lived her life. She strived to instill in her children and their children that faith and goodness she lived by. Cremation has taken place and Services are being conducted by the Carr Tenney Mortuary 2621 S. Rural Rd. Tempe, Az. 85282. A Rosary Prayer Service will be held Friday, December 19, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carr Tenney Chapel. And Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at St Benedict's Catholic Church at 6400 W. Del Rio St Chandler, AZ. 85226.
