Dorothy Shugzda, age 80, of Santa Fe, Died December 15, 2003, following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Francis. Dorothy was born in Seymour, CT, on November 2, 1923, to Peter and Tessie Muchisky. She was a registered nurse and worked in Albuquerque at Lovelace Medical Center and Horizon Health Care. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Gayle McGuiness and husband Thomas of Santa Fe; son, Edward P. Shugzda and wife, Maria of Tucson, AZ; granddaughters, Megan McGuiness, and Samantha Shugzda; grandson, Joseph Shugzda; brothers, Thomas Muchisky and wife, Michi of St. Louis, MO, and Dennis Muchisky. Mass and celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Cathedral (Blessed Sacrament Chapel). Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, 984-8600.
