Robert Leonard Roemer, 74, a resident of Longmont, CO since 1999 and a former resident of Albuquerque, Ft. Collins, CO, and Boulder, CO, died Wednesday, December 10, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine A. "Cathy" Trujillo of Longmont, CO; step-daughter, Kathleen Brown of Albuquerque; sons, David A. Roemer of Rancho de Los Lunas, NM and Robert Steven Roemer of Tome, NM; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James R. Roemer and John L. Roemer; and sister, Ellen Schweizer. Mr. Roemer received his Bachelor's degree in English and his Master's in English and Spanish all from the University of New Mexico. He was a former teacher at the Espanola High School in Espanola, NM, and a former truck driver for the Parcel Delivery Company of Albuquerque. Mr. Roemer was a member of the Episcopal Church. His hobbies included gold mining, woodworking, and studying languages. Services were held Saturday, December 13, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m at the Lewellen Longmont Memorial Chapel in Longmont, CO. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
