E. Margaret Falk Shane, 98, a resident of Albuquerque for 28 years, died December 8, 2003. Born in Red Oak, IA on March 8, 1905, she lived most of her life in Des Moines, IA with her husband of 60 years, William D. Shane, Sr. Margaret is survived by her two sons, William D. Shane, Jr. and wife, Donea of Albuquerque, Richard F. Shane and wife, Peggy of Mystic, CT; three grandchildren, Rebecca McRoberts and husband, Mike of Glastonberry, CT, Craig L. Shane and wife, Rebecca Stanton Hyde of Salt Lake City, UT, and Lynnea Shane of Washington, D.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Heather and Mathew McRoberts of Glastonberry, CT and Benjamin Lloyd Shane of Salt Lake City, UT. Cremation has taken place and private burial will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A proud first generation Swedish American, she enjoyed her family and the Lutheran Church.
