Major Steven Plumhoff, a resident of Albuquerque, was killed while serving his Country in the War on Terrorism on November 23, 2003. He is survived by his wife of ten years Yvette LaPointe of Albuquerque; son, Gavyn Ruark Plumhoff of Albuquerque; mother, Hannalore Lode of Pueblo West, Colorado and father, Karl-Heinz Plumhoff also of Pueblo West Colorado; sister, Carola Plumhoff of Plainfield, New Jersey. Steven served as a Major in the United States Air Force with the 551st Special Operations Squadron. Memorial Funeral will be held on Friday, December 12, 2003 at Kirtland Air Force Base.
