John M. Shaw, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away December 6, 2003, at his home with his beloved wife and granddaughter. John was born in Albuquerque on February 2, 1943. John is survived by his wife, Nora Shaw; a son, Randy Shaw (Joyce); one granddaughter, Darby Shaw; brother, Frank Shaw; sisters, Lillian Mendoza and Julia Saavedra (Chris); Godsons, Robert Mendoza, Arthur Shubert, Kevin Weaver, Frank Shaw III and Leo Garcia; Goddaughters, Dora Oquendo, Lisa Montano and Christine Gutierrez. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Shaw and Trinidad Shaw and his son, Ronnie Shaw. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Post 13. Mr. Shaw will be deeply missed by his loving family. The family would like to thank the VA Hospital and the Odessy Hospice for all their help and support. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary (8th St. & Stover S.W.). Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Shaw, Frank Shaw, Jake Trujillo, Leo Garcia, Jim Griego and Billy Gallegos. Services are in the care of: Garcia Mortuary 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
