Marguerite Lenora Spray Howell Doyle, age 94, passed away Saturday,November 29, 2003. She was born in Maquoketa, Iowa on June 27, 1909 and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1937. She treasured her relationship with the Lord and was a member of the First Spanish Fruit Avenue Baptist Church and previously Riverside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school classes for many years. Preceding her in death were her husband,James P. Doyle, her mother Chloe Alice Spray Howell, and father Jack Howell. Surviving Marguerite are sister Cleora Beatrice Spray Howell Skovof Waterton, TN; son John H. (Jack) Doyle and wife Linda, of Oak Ridge, TN and daughter Diana Doyle McMahan and husband Mick, of Albuquerque. Grandchildren include Jacqueline Doyle Allison and husband Mark of Atlanta,GA; Jeanette Doyle Rodgers and husband David of Fairfax, VA; John Dunning Doyle of New York, NY; William A. (Mick) McMahan of Albuquerque and USAF Major Melanie McMahan McPherson of Roosevelt Roads Naval Air station,Puerto Rico. Great-grandchildren include Mallory Rodgers and Michael Rodgers of Fairfax, VA, a niece and nephew and several great nieces and nephews . A memorial service lead by Rev. Bernie Moraga will be held Saturday, December 6, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 ConstitutionAve, NE 87110 or Assistance League of Albuquerque, 5211 Lomas Blvd. NE 87110.
