Gioacchino Colella, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2003. He is survived by sons, Frank Colella and wife, Isabel, and Felice Colella and wife, Maria; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pasqua Colella on February 25, 2003, and his daughter, Maria Elisa. Mr. Colella was a devout parishioner of The Shrine of St. Bernadette for over 30 years. He was a hard working soul who enjoyed helping others. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 30, 2003, 5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. with Deacon Byron Wicker reciting. Mass will be held at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, Monday, December 1, 2003, 9:00 a.m., Father Tom Zotter, Celebrant. Entombment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Sunday, November 30, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to time of Rosary.
