Obituary for HUTCHINSON

Robert James Hutchinson, 58, a native of New Mexico, grew up in Maryland, spent time in Austin, Texas and San Francisco, California passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2003. Robert was born December 2, 1944 the son of Charles Ernest and Marjorie Edith McKim Hutchinson in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Robert was a well known clay sculptor, who was equally at home in his studio or under a vehicle, repairing it for family or friend. His original and thought provoking sculptures embodied his irreverent sense of humor. He lived his last year with brain cancer (G.B.M.) with exceptional strength, grace, and wry wit. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Charlie Hutchinson. He is survived by his wife, Louise Hutchinson of Corrales; two children, Rosalind (Rosie) Hutchinson, (age 20), currently attending the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA. and Henry Hutchinson, (age 17), at home and a senior at Cibola High School; one sister, Mary Hutchinson Moloney of Terre Haute, IN; two brothers, Dr. Peter Hutchinson of Jacksonville, OR., and David Hutchinson of Albuquerque, NM.
