Eldon. "El" passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2003. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 54 years, Gwen; and his son, Scott. He is survived by his son, Terrance (wife, Kathy); and grandchildren, Melinda and Craig. El was born in Bevier, MO on November 11, 1921. He was raised in Quincy, IL and graduated from the US Naval Academy, Class of 1946. He served as a fighter pilot and as Executive Officer of USS Greenwood during his time in the Navy. He worked for Sandia National Laboratories from 1955 until his retirement in 1987. During this time he was recognized as a "Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia Labs." He was active in Boy Scouts as Scoutmaster of Troop 166 and recieved the Silver Beaver Award for his contributions. He was also a member of the Naval Academy Alumni Club and Faith Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Sain Rd. NE. Familly will meet friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Sunrise Cremation Society in charge of arrangements.
