David Wiegand, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Tola Wiegand of Albuquerque; son, David Wiegand, Jr, and wife, Rosalee of Albuquerque; stepdaughter, Angie Warren and husband, Marshall of Roswell; stepson, Dick Underwood and wife, Patti of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Seth Warren of Colorado Springs, CO, Miles Warren of Annapolis, MD, Paige Underwood of Albuquerque, and Taylor Underwood of Albuquerque; and sister, Verneal Johnson and husband, Joe of Martin, TN. He was born in Hondo, TX, September 4, 1925. David retired as administrative manager of Southern Pueblos Agency, Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1977. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and gardening. Services will be held Monday, November 3, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Los Altos Christian Church, 11900 Haines Ave NE, with Rev. Christopher W. Wilson officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 1:30 p.m. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Sunday, November 2, 2003, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Los Altos Christian Church, 11900 Haines NE, 87112.
