Obituary for COOKE, SR.

Elmer Cooke Sr., 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away October 25, 2003 from this world to the next to be with the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kate Cooke; five daughters, Sherwood Vickers and husband, Steve of Rio Rancho, Madonna Bayham and husband, Bob of Arizona, Cindy Jorden of San Diego, CA, Brenda Sayles of Albuquerque and Kim Long and husband, Larry of Albuquerque; two sons, Elmer Cooke Jr., and wife, Lucila of San Bernadino, CA and Elmer Cooke II and wife, Kristin of Junction City, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Evan, Katie, Thomas, Kristin, Andrea, Bobby, Branden, Desire, Jose, Ernest, Georgette and Nickadmas; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Aldahondo and Josiah Tip. Mr. Cooke served his country in the US Navy in the Korean Conflict and then worked for NASA for ten years. Elmer was loved dearly by all his family and all who's lives he touched. He will be deeply missed. A Rosary will be held by Father Garcia on Monday, November 3, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway SE, Albuquerque with Mass to follow, and he will be laid to rest at the San Clemente Cemetery off of hwy 6 and Chavez Rd. in Los Lunas.
