Robert Sanders Simpers, 83, of Chester, VA died Monday, October 27, 2003. He was a native of New Mexico and a Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. He retired as an engineer with Dupont. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret M. Simpers; two daughters, Ada S. Graham of East Patchoque, NY, Frances S. Scott of Norfolk, VA; and two grandchildren, Kelly J. Scott and Brennan H. Scott. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in Chester Presbyterian Church, in Virginia, where he was a deacon and served on many building committees. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or a charity of choice.
