Frieda Anna (Mayhak) passed from this earth October 21, 2003. She was born in Germany April 23, 1915, second of four children, to Karl and Alma Mayhak. The family moved to the United States when Frieda was nine years old, lived on a farm in South Dakota for one year, then settled in Chicago, IL. Frieda grew up in Chicago, married August Hansen and divorced. She remarried Gordon Robinson, who preceded her in death in 1975. She worked for Stewart-Warner making odometers for 25 years, retired in 1980. That same year, she married Peter Kutchen, who also preceded her in death in 1999. Frieda was a talented homemaker, wonderful cook and did beautiful crochet and embroidery work. She entertained family and friends with her jokes and stories and will be greatly missed. After her husband Peter's death, Frieda moved to Albuquerque to live with her son in 2000. She suffered a stroke one week after her arrival which left her a semi-invalid. As her condition progressed, she became a resident of Las Palomas Nursing Center for about six months and had recently transferred to a private homecare, Freedom Hearts, where she died peacefully in her sleep. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her son, Leslie Robinson and wife, Diane of Albuquerque; one brother, Rudy Mayhak and wife, Marge of Chicago, IL; two granddaughters, Jennifer Hayward and husband, Steve, and Jaime Robinson, all of Michigan; two step-grandsons, Drew Hon of Albuquerque, and Heath Hon and wife, Heather of Amarillo, TX; three great-granddaughters, Kayla Ferguson, Jessica and Kassidy Hayward; two great-grandsons, Cody Hayward and Tyler Hon; five nieces; four nephews; many great-nephews, great-nieces and special friends. The family extends special thanks to Jesse Mora, Barbara Hernandez and the wonderful staff at Zia Hospice for their loving kindness that meant so much to Frieda in her last days. Cremation has taken place through Direct Cremation and Burial Services. A memorial service is planned on November 8, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE, Pastor Danny Schuman officiating.
