Obituary for ELROD

Lorenn M. Elrod, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since moving here from Kansas in 1952, went to be with her Lord Friday, October 24, 2003. She is survived by her son, Warren R. Elrod and wife, Cheryl of Dallas, TX; daughters, Karen J. Pedersen and husband, Sam of Quito, Ecuador, Carol R. McCann and husband, Dan of Carrollton, TX and Linda Oswald and husband, Tim of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Glennis G. Pittman and Vernice M. Leslie, both of Goodland, KS. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Warren V. Elrod; and brother, Royce Gowin. For many years, Mrs. Elrod was actively involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She was also a charter member of Foothills Fellowship Church and taught Sunday School until the age of 82. She helped to organize and was actively involved with the Hoffmantown Neighborhood Association. Services will be held Monday, October 27, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Rob Kurz officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
