Obituary for VALLEJOS

Toni Vallejos, 81, a longtime resident of Pueblitos, NM, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 15, 2003. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and was born in San Antonio, New Mexico. She retired from a long and rewarding career with the State of New Mexico. She will be remembered fondly and lovingly by all her family and friends for her wonderful generosity and strength of character. She also had a special place in her heart for all her friends at the Belen Senior Citizens Center. She was a faithful and dutiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and her presence in our daily lives will be sorely missed. Toni was preceded in death by her husband Nestor; her parents Abran and Ascencion Jojola; her sister Josephine Landavazo; and her brother Pat Jojola. She is survived by her daughter Alice Esquibel of Pueblitos, New Mexico; brothers; Martin Jojola and his wife Clorinda of Jarales, and Samuel Jojola of Los Lunas; grandchildren Cecilia and her husband Charles Baca of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Debbie Russom of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren Amanda and Julia Baca, and Travis Russom. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Marty and Giovanni Jojola, Daryl and Jim Landavazo, Ronnie Torres, and Charles Baca. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N.
