Obituary for SANCHEZ

Esquipula "Pula" R. Sanchez 74, a lifelong resident of Valencia, New Mexico, peacefully joined Our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 13, 2003. Pula was born on June 4, 1929 to his parents, Tomas and Lupita A. Sanchez. Pula retired from the Los Lunas Public Schools, a job he loved very much. He was a very dedicated and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and son. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Tomas and Lupita A. Sanchez; his brothers, Francisco and Jesus Sanchez; and his sister, Mercy Boys. He is survived by the mother of his five children, Mary B. Franco; his three sons, David, Anthony and Herman Sanchez; two daughters Anna Sanchez and Teresa Del Aguila; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his sister, Rita McCool and his many beloved nephews and nieces; todos sus primos y primas que los estimaba mucho. Pula was such a people person that many loving and dear friends also survive him. He will be greatly missed by all. His urn bearers will be his son, Anthony and grandson Antonio. He will be laid to rest beside his mother, Lupita, in the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 5:30 PM at Romero Funeral Home with a rosary following at 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday October 16, 2003, at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Albert Gallegos officiating.
