Rose Jurca, nee Rudick, died October 10, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 91. Born May 8, 1912 in Olwein, Iowa, and a longtime resident of Buffalo, New York. She moved to Albuquerque in 1980 to be with her children. She is survived by her children, daughter, Eileen Rose Jurca FitzPatrick and fiance, Michael G. Henry, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael A. Jurca Jr. and wife, Barbara Ann (nee Drajem) of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and her youngest son, Tony Jurca, of New Mexico; grandchildren, Amy M. (nee Jurca) Welch and husband, Christopher of Palmer Lake, Colorado, Dr. William M. FitzPatrick of Binghamton, New York, and Michael A. Jurca, III and wife, Carolyn of Lacey, Washington; great-grandson, Nicholas Ryan Welch of Palmer Lake; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family, friends and neighbors who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Philomena Rudick; her husband, Dr. Michael A. Jurca; and her brothers and sisters, Marion, Blanche Sewhuk, Peter, Anna, Charles, Edward, and Sister Philomena O.S.B.M. Rose loved rocks, gardening, exotic cooking and being with her family. Donations in her name may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
