Mrs. Mary A. Shepard was born September 29, 1914 to the late James and Creacy Coleman in Shubuta, Mississippi. Early Friday morning, October 3, 2003, she answered the Master's call while she slept peacefully at home. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Elester Arrington of Albuquerque and J.D. Arrington (Clara) of Buffalo, NY; eight granddaughters, Doris Willard (Eugene), Letha Allen (Henry), Ollie Pearl Coleman, Mary Coleman, Shelia Franks, Grinda Coleman, Sherry Davis (Willie) and eight grandsons, Billy Ray Coleman (Eileen) of Phoenix, AZ, Luther Coleman (Annie) of Shubuta, MS, Morris Coleman of Fayetteville, NC, Celester Arrington, Joseph Arrington, Lamoyne Arrington, and Marcus Arrington, all of Buffalo, NY; 31 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Luevirt Woodard, Willie R. Polk (James), both of Shubuta, MS; two brothers, Joe Louis McGill (Mamie) of Shubuta, MS, Warner Coleman (Lil) of Alamogordo, NM; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Shepard will be Friday, October 10, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at Grace Temple, 339 Pennsylvania NE, with Rev. Don Cobbs officiating.
