Marie A. Pena, 82, a longtime resident of Moriarty, NM, formally of Santa Fe, NM, passed away Friday October 3, 2003, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born March 25, 1921 in Carrizzo Ranch, NM to Emilliano and Consepcion (Garcia) Apodaca. Marie married Cipriano Pena, in August of 1946, he preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1993. Marie was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM, she was also a longtime member of the Blue Army, and the Senior Citizens. She is survived by three sons, Nick Pena and Vanita Bramham, Max and Angie Pena, and Harold Pena; three daughters, Canda and Lawrence Hernandez, Amy Pena, and Christy and Albert Sedillo; three brothers, Manuel Apodaca, Onecimo Apodaca, and Abran Apodaca; four sisters, Josephine Gauna, Juanita Duran, Stella Anaya, and Mary Herrera; one aunt, Rosita Montano; ten grandchildren, Lawrence, Angela, Stephanie, Joey, Deborah, Max, Heather, Jimmy, Kristy, and Jennifer; five great- grandchildren Niko, Julian, Sierra, Brittany, and Jason; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie will lie in state Monday October 6, 2003-2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday October 7, 2003, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 8, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Santa Fe, NM with Deacon Enrique Montoya officiating. Pallbearers will be Louie Anaya, Gerald Tenorio, Lawrence Sedillo, Anthony Garcia, Michael Fajardo, Robert Lucero, Izzak Montano, and Robert Felix. Honorary Pallbearers, Joey Sedillo, Stephanie Hernandez, Andela Hernandez, Lucy Cansino, Yolanda Lopez, Marylou Urioste, Rosina Tapia, Vicki Campbell, JoAnn Hernandez, and Kim Purce.
