Mr. Luis A. Lucero, 87, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 7, 2003. Mr. Lucero is survived by two sisters, Victoria Montoya and husband, Manuel and Magdalena Padilla; sisters in law, Agneda Lucero, Ramona Lucero and Elvita Gonzales; son is law, Chano Martinez; granddaughter, Mary Alice Valdez and husband, Richard; grandson, Anthony Martinez and girlfriend, Tanya Lattin; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Martinez, Nathaniel Valdez; Marisa Valdez; many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Mr. Lucero was preceded in death by his wife, Estella; sister in law, Mary Lucero, his daughter, Adella Martinez; his sisters, Maria and Tillie; and his brothers, Juan, Reymundo, Ernesto and Tilo. Mr. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos NW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Lucero, Elmer Aragon, Marlo Lucero, Chano Martinez, Moises Lucero and Anthony Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Martinez, Nathaniel Valdez and Marisa Valdez.
