Obituary for MITCHELL

Ivy Farnham Mitchell, 87, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, stepped peacefully into the presence of her Lord, on Saturday, October 4, 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ida Farnham; brother, Lawrence Lemmel; sister, Myrtle Neel; and son, Donald A. Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her daughters, Carrol James and husband, Ron, Barbara Turley and husband, Bill of Albuquerque; sons, Robert D. Mitchell and wife, Hetty of Burnsville, MN, Walter D. Mitchell and wife, Shannah of Lynnwood, WA; eight grandchildren, Ron Jr. and wife, Tanya, Mitzi and husband, Michael, Patrick and wife, Christy, Christopher, Christy and husband, Tim, Iman and husband, Luke, Brittney and Azrielle; and six great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Jenny, Katelynn, Jubilee, Alex and Wyatt. Ivy was a faithful member of Faith Chapel, a founding Board Member of Hope Christian School, a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her prayer life, her faithfulness to the tape ministry for shut-ins and her walk with God as expressed through her poetry. JESUS He sails the tideless seas of time And flies the universes skies. He walks the paths of Eternity And sees forever with His eyes. And yet He holds my hand today And calms my troubled sea He is so very great a God Who still has time for me. ifm Services will be held Thursday, 10:30, at Faith Chapel, 1726 Girard NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
