Jessica Hope Rush, 6. Our hope is in Jesus, and now, after battling cancer for almost thee years with courage, grace and a smile that blessed and inspired lives throughout the world, our Hope is with Jesus. Jessica died on September 30, 2003. She is survived by her parents, Bobby and Teree Rush; sister, Makina Rush of Edgewood; nana, Pat Wafer of Corpus Christi, TX; papa and meema, Roland L. and Bobbe H. Rush of Corpus Christi, TX; Mimi and Papa Doug of Arlington, TX; Gabby Parker of Moriarty; uncle, Bert and aunt, Ginger; uncle, Lee; and cousins, Amber and Jake. Jessica was preceded in death by her sister, Brittany; and her grandpa, Norman L. Wafer. Jessica was a first grader at Eastern Hills Christian Academy and a collector of all things that sparkled, her sparkle will shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her. The family extends their love and gratitude to all who kept them in their prayers and gave their support. Services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris St. NE, with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wyoming at Paseo del Norte.
