Obituary for HALEY

Albert L. "Al" Haley went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on Monday, September 22, 2003. Al was born on April 27, 1918 in Globe, AZ and was a long-time resident of Albuquerque, NM and former resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. During his 26 year distinguished military service as a Colonel and pilot in the US Air Force, he flew combat missions in both the European and the Pacific theaters in WW2. Al was awarded the Legion of Merit from the US Air Force for his service during atmospheric testing in the Pacific in the early 1960's. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Monte; stepdaughter, Sharon Kologie; stepson, Neil Kologie; granddaughters, Krystle and Amanda Kologie of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Judy Cash of Virginia; son, Steve Haley and wife, Stacey; grandsons, Chris and Ted of Tucson, AZ; sister, Betty Smith of Gainesville, TX; Bill Babbington and many other dear friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Pl. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 in honor of Albert L. Haley. Memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel with Pastor Larry Moss, officiating.
