Obituary for NOGALES

Joe Nogales, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003. He is survived by his brothers, Louis Nogales and wife, Gloria and John Nogales and wife, Julianne; sisters, Mary Helen Flores and husband, Ted, all of Albuquerque and Rose Ann Valenzuela of Las Cruces; fiance, Maria Sommers of Las Cruces; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalio "Rosy" and Elaisa Nogales and nephew, Louis Nogales, Jr. Mr. Nogales served in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1955 to 1959. He volunteered for St. Vincent de Paul at Holy Ghost Church for many years and he also volunteered at the VA Hospital for many years. Rosary will be recited Friday, 8:30 a.m., followed by the Mass at 9:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Church, 833 Arizona SE, with Father Thomas J. Mayefske, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Ted A. Flores, Frank M. Flores, Joey Nogales, Fred Nogales, Daniel Nogales and Luke Nogales. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Flores and Tano Valenzuela.
