Florence J. Fitzpatrick, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on September 16, 2003. She was born on August 25, 1912 to Otto and Minnie Heisner Skopec in New York. Florence was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, and past president of the Elks Ladies of Rio Rancho. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband James in 1983. Florence is survived by her beloved daughter Joan and husband Fred Uhlmansiek of Rio Rancho; brother, Arthur and wife Willy Skopec of New York; her grandchildren, James and wife, Tracy Stuart of Albuquerque, and Pamela Stuart of Rio Rancho. Florence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Private family services will be held and Florence will rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Storehouse West, 1030 Veranda Rd. SE., Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
