Obituary for RODRIQUEZ

Conrado M. Rodriquez, 83, a resident of Meadowlake, NM, peacefully joined our Lord while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 12, 2003. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He retired from Southwest Forest Products in 1978 after 27 years of outstanding service. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a true outdoorsman and spent many years hunting and fishing in Arizona and New Mexico. He was a foster grandparent who received the prestige Foster Grandparent Principle Award for the State of New Mexico. He loved working with handicapped children and when the Los Lunas High and Training School closed. He stayed with the Foster Grandparents program in the public schools. He was preceded in death by his mother, Josifa Moreno Rodriquez and his father, Jose Rodriquez; two sisters, Josephina Rodriquez and Angelita Benavidez; and one brother, Francisco Rodriquez. Conrado is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jennie, of the family home in Meadowlake; four children, John Joe and his wife, Rosemary of Belen; Conrad Vincente Jr. and his wife, Becky of Springerville, AZ; Josie Morgan and her husband, John "Red" of Meadowlake; and Victor Ray and his wife, Yvonne of Los Chavez, NM; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one niece, Carmen Benavidez Silva and her husband, Pete of Socorro, NM. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at the Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 5:30pm and will follow with a rosary at 6:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 15, 2003 at 9:00am with Father Stephen Schultz officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Conrado's children and grandchildren. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St, Belen, NM 87002.
