Obituary for BENNETT

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday September 14, 2003

Rose Bennett, 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940, died peacefully on September 9, 2003 after a mercifully short illness. Rose was an accomplished homemaker and an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved gardening and especially loved caring for her many rose bushes. She was an avid golfer. Rose was preceded in death by husband, Carey; and daughter, Carolyn; and is survived by daughter, Jeanne Dailey of Albuquerque; and granddaughter, Erin Dailey of Nokomis, Florida. Rose was delighted by the birth of her great-granddaughter, Brooke Elyse Picazio this May. Rose maintained her sharp mind and wit to the end of her long and productive life. A private family Memorial Service will be held and the family asks that those who choose to do so make donations to the Salvation Army in lieu of sending flowers.
