Tillie Martinez, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Monday, July 6, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Gonzales and husband, Fred and daughter, Gerry Sechrist, all of Albuquerque; son, Edward Martinez and wife, Lucy of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Fred Gonzales and wife, Carey, David Sechrist, Michelle Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, Ryan Sechrist, Edward Martinez, Jazael Martinez, Jeff Sechrist, Jennifer Martinez, and Veronica Martinez; great-granddaughter, Inez Valdez, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Olive Valdez of Albuquerque and Margaret Malin of Littleton, CO; brothers, Fred Valdez of Union City, CA, Levi Valdez and wife, Jean of Colorado Springs, Orlie Valdez of Union City,CA, Lawrence Valdez and wife, Dora of Arvada, CO, Steve Valdez and wife, Sylvia of Denver, CO; and numerous other family members and friends. Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Martinez. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Al McLane reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha NE. Interment will take place at 12:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, David Sechrist, Ryan Sechrist, Jeff Sechrist, Edward Martinez, Jazael Martinez, and Aaron Shiever. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to time of rosary.
