Severo Padilla, 91, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 1998. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and the Senior Citizens in Jarales. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Jesusita Padilla; and brother, Estanislado Padilla. He is survived by his three brothers, Cayetano Padilla and his wife, Mary, Ernesto Padilla of Belen, and Benjamin Padilla; one sister, Petrita Tafoya. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. A viewing will also be held on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benny Padilla, Erik Almaraz, Carlos Chavez, David Humphrey, Adolf Tafoya, Joe Tafoya. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
