Obituary for Hooker

Norman Hooker, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away June 30, 1998. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer, of 22 years, in the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict, Vietnam War and the China War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Hooker in 1996; son, James Cornett and sister, Juanita Partin. He is survived by his four daughters, Darlene Martens, Nancy Christy, Billie Major and Letty Warner; son, K.G. McKenner; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Billie Duff and Bonnie Winkler; and two brothers, E.J. Hooker and Lee Hooker. Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 1998, from 12:00 noon until the time of the prayer service, which will be at 7:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, July 6, 1998, 10:00 a.m., also at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with full military honors.
