Obituary for Gonzales

Robert Victor Gonzales, born March 26, 1973, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, lost his courageous battle with cancer at Baylor Hospital on March 14, surrounded by is mom, sister and favorite nurses on 6 Roberts. Victor was a change management consultant in the Dallas office of Andersen Consulting. Vic graduated in 1991 with honors from Eldorado High School in Albuquerque, where he served as student body president and homecoming king. He graduated with honors from SMU in 1995. Vic was a Herkimer scholar and was active in many activities, including first year council, Mustang Link, and was a residence man advisor. Also, Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, CHAS, Golden Key National Honor Society, and Mortar Board. He worked as an intern at the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marlin Victor Griggs of Garland. Vic is survived by his mother, Virginia Griggs; and sister, Stephanie Gonzales of Allen; his beloved dog, Snoopy; grandmother, Julia Griggs of Garland; aunt, Andrea Hanna; and cousin, Amy; Godson, Maxwell Hansen of Columbus, OH; aunt, Norma Cassity of New Boston, TX; father, Ronald Gonzales of Atlanta, GA; and his namesake, Lily Victoria Cordova of Albuquerque. Victor appreciated all the help and love from his friends at Andersen Consulting and SMU. Special thanks to Dr. Wynne Snoots, Dr. Robert Mennel, Mady, Deborah, and all the staff on Baylor 6 Roberts.
