Celeste M. Nowers, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died Wednesday, August 19, 1998. She is survived by her children, Judith Brown of Albuquerque, Juanita Partington and husband, Patrick of California, William I. Nowers and wife, Jane of Georgia, and Kathleen England and husband, Robert of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother, Calvin DePauw and his wife, Beatrice of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley I. Nowers whom she married on September 2, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois. Celeste was very devoted to her family, enjoyed life and was involved in many activities at her residence, including her bridge games. Mrs. Nowers was a member of the Aquinas Newman Center. Services will be held Friday, September 4, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. at La Vida Llena (Carter Hall), 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE.
