Obituary for King

Dolores L. King, age 91, died on August 20, 1998 at the Sierra Health Care Center in Truth or Consequences, NM. She was born on March 1, 1907 in Rhea County, Oklahoma to James Houston and Mahala N. (Bales) Cavasos. Mrs. King was a resident of Truth of Consequences for the past 22 years and was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Socorro Garden Club, the New Mexico Fiddler's Association and the Socorro Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O. King, Sr. Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Hulse of T or C, NM; her two sons, Frank O. King Jr. of T or C, NM and James S. King of Santa Fe, NM; her three brothers, Ervin Cavasos of Albuquerque, NM, Donald Cavasos of Edgewood, NM, Houston Cavasos of Stanley, NM; her sister, Okla May Elliot of Noel, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 24, 1998 at the Stanley Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. John Booth officiating. Serving as Pallbearers are Otis King, Jim King, Don King, Robert Cavasos, Kevin Cavasos and Mike Cavasos. Arrangements are by French Mortuary of T or C, Inc.
