Edward Swisstack, 73, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 1998. Edward was born December 22, 1924, the son of Steve and Rose Moreland Swisstack in Passaic, New Jersey. He had been a Detective with the Passaic Police Department for 34 years before retiring. Edward was married to Mildred Comicotto on February 7, 1945. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Edward is survived by his wife, Mildred of Rio Rancho; children, Tom Swisstack and wife, Kathy of Rio Rancho, Sandy Telles and husband, Bert of Rio Rancho, Jeffrey Swisstack of California, and Edward Swisstack of New Jersey; one brother, Steve Swisstack of New Jersey; two sisters, Joyce Paulding of New Jersey and Violet Zwolinski of Florida; one grandchild, Brielle Wozny. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, August 16, 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the Mass of Resurrection on Monday, August 17, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Alameda.
