Eva L. Smith, age 75, and a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years, passed away on Friday, August 14, 1998 at her home following an illness. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Vicki Smith Wilkerson and her husband, Mark; her son, Richard Smith and his wife, Ann, all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Bennie Evans of Cee Vee, TX and Frances Connor of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren, Daniel and Hugh Wilkerson, Stina Browning, Jessie Lynn, Benjamin, and Evagayle Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Netherwood Park Church of Christ with Wayne Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Sandia Memory Gardens. The body of Mrs. Smith will lie in state on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for viewing and visitation at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
