Fred McDonald, age 66, passed away peacefully Friday at home in the company of his family after a long illness. His unconditional love, compassion, and gentleness will be carried on by the lives of everyone he touched. He is preceded in death by his son Leslie. He is survived by his wife Lilly of 44 years; five children, Debra LeMaster and her husband, Robert of Albuquerque, Stephen McDonald and his wife, Susie of Los Lunas, David McDonald and his wife, Shireen of Los Lunas, Susan Mendoza and her husband, Rafael of Stafford, VA, and Patricia McDonald of Albuquerque. He has ten grandchildren, Melissa and Luke LeMaster, Andrew, Stephanie, and Jessica McDonald, Jared and Justine McDonald, Kathlene, Christopher, and Alex Mendoza, and one great-grandchild, Rose LeMaster. A memorial service for Fred will be held Tuesday September 15, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE with his nephew John Conwell officiating.
