Paul Gregory Canfield, age 53, died September 2, 1998 in Santa Fe. Paul was a locally and nationally recognized artist, working in a variety of media, whose work is represented in numerous collections across the country. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years, Karen of Santa Fe; his mother, Elizabeth Canfield of Albuquerque; his sister, Maria Daly Canfield and her husband, Gary Flores of Reno; brother-in-law, Keith Pautz; sister-in-law, Kathleen and children of Simi Valley, CA; parents-in-law, Vernon and Elizabeth Pautz of Northridge, CA; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Interment was private. A gathering in celebration of Paul's life and work will be announced at a later date. As a living memorial to Paul's life and work as an artist, a scholarship will be established at the College of Santa Fe to help students of art.
