Obituary for Cortner

James C. Cortner, age 68, born in Inglewood, CA, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, passed away on September 10, 1998. He is survived by Maureen, his wife and partner of 47 years; daughters, Kimberly Teague and husband, Tommy, Jan DeMay and husband, Michael; a son, Jay Cortner and wife, Moss; grandchildren, Michael and Stacy Teague, John Cortner, Michelle, Amber and James DeMay; twin sister, JoAnne Anderson and husband, Don; sister, Charlotte Wilmer and husband, Bob; the"World's Finest Dog", Lady; and many other family members and friends. Jim served as a pilot for the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for IBM for 30 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and mentor to many. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on. The family wishes to thank Lovelace Oncology Dept. for their extended ordinary love and care. A special gathering to celebrate his life will be held at the family home, for family and close friends, on Saturday, September 12, 1998, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The family asks, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society and directed to support Lymphoma Research.
