Alan Matthew Martinez, 31, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 1, 1998. Alan is survived by his mother, Virginia Nevarez; two brothers, Kenneth Martinez and Elias Tommy Martinez; one sister, Carla Lee Martinez; paternal grandparents, Bonifacio and Julia Martinez; maternal grandparents, Jose and Leisa Nevarez; special best friends, David and Pearl Peralta and son, Matthew; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Alan was a member of the Catholic Church, graduate of West Mesa High School (1985-1990) and a graduate of M.M.I. (Phoenix, AZ) a master mechanic. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. Final Visitation will be Tuesday morning in the Holy Family Church, 564 Atrisco SW, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father Jack. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Davin Peralta, Carlos Nevarez, Quinn Nevarez, Charles Martinez, Adam Quezada and Caruz Nevarez. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Donna Hale and Leigh Cordova. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
