Obituary for Sanchez

Carolyn G. Sanchez, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 80 years, returned to her heavenly father, May 19, 1998, after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Fred J. Sanchez of Albuquerque; son, Orlando P. Sanchez of Albuquerque; daughter, Clorinda C."Corky" Sarro and husband, Frank of Laurinburg, NC; sister, Lena DeVargas of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Tellas Gallegos and wife, Sadie of San Diego, CA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a son, Carlos Briley. She was born April 24, 1917 in San Marcial, NM. Mrs. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church. Carolyn was a loving and devoted mother and a dear friend to all. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Deacon Manuel and Eileen Montoya reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 12:00 p.m., at Theresa Little Flower Church, 4th and Mildred NW, with John Plans, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:30 p.m., Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be George, Rick and Herman Sanchez, Daniel Chavez, Carl Weitzel and Steven Gabaldon. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
