Obituary for Montoya

Larry David Montoya, 44, a resident of Long Beach, California, died on Saturday, May 16, 1998 in Kingman, Arizona. He was born on December 27, 1953 in Truth or Consequences, NM, to Diego and Lily Montoya. He was a graduate of Hot Springs High School in 1971. Larry was employed as a plumber for the Long Beach School District. He began his career in Truth or Consequences, then moved to Silver City, before moving to California. He lived in Long Beach for the past 20 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve Ann (Sobles) Montoya; daughters, Elizabeth Michelle, Laura Ann and Amanda Jane, all of the family home; his parents, Diego and Lily Montoya of Truth or Consequences; his brother, Gary Montoya and wife, Carla; and a sister, Kerry Ann Wallace and husband, Russell, all of Las Cruces, NM; uncle, Merced Montoya of Scottsdale, AZ; aunts, Eliza Greer and Dolores Bishop, both of Truth or Consequences, Priscilla Rivera of Bayard, NM, Sarah Tafoya of Silver City, NM, Viola Triviz of Las Cruces, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held on Monday, May 25, 1998, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in T or C, NM.
