Obituary for Markee

James S. (Jim) Markee, 80, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died Monday, May 18, 1998, after a lengthy battle with emphysema. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Markee of Albuquerque; son, Charles Markee and wife, Betty of Bend, OR; daughters, Patricia Markee of Carson, CA, and Theresa Chalamidas and husband, Stewart of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Mike and Rick Markee of Alaska, and Sonia Markee of Albuquerque. Mr. Markee was retired from the U.S.A.F. after 33 years of service, after retirement, he worked at the Veterans Hospital and the University of NM Hospital as a respiratory therapist. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Thursday, 9:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Deacon Bob Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
