Obituary for Rael

Sophia Rael, 98, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, died Saturday, May 9, 1998. She is survived by her sons, Henry Rael and wife, Priscilla, Ivan Rael and wife, Millie, Lionel Rael and wife, Caroline, all of Albuquerque, NM, Arnold Rael and wife, Patricia of Sile, NM and Dr. Eppie Rael and wife, Elsie of El Paso, TX; daughters, Ophelia Romero and husband, Amado, Diana Harrington, Angela Viola Dominquez and husband, Zoilo, all of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Luisa Crespin of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Celedonia of Sile, NM and Mary of Seneca, SC; 40 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leopoldo Rael and sons, Leo Rael, Jr., Davie Rael, Ralph Rael and Oliver Rael and daughter, Angelina Rael. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She lived most of her life in Cochiti Pueblo, NM where she owned and operated a grocery store. She retired and moved to Albuquerque in 1968 to be close to her children. Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Road NW. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
